CTA TRANING:

CTA's Human Rights Department provides a variety of workshops and trainings presented by volunteer educators trained and knowledgeable in that area.

Workshops are presented at no charge. Please contact our local president or primary contact staff person to set up a training.

  1. BREAKING THE SILENCE
    Provides educators with information about homosexuality. Participants learn about strategies for eliminating hostilities toward GLBT students and explore ways to create a safe learning environment for all students. For more information, see CTA's High Risk Program Summary.
  2. GLBT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
    This workshop will help GLBT members develop leadership skills at all levels within the Association. For more information, see CTA's GLBT Leadership Training Brochure.

  • Nancy Bailey Leadership in Lesbian & Gay Issues, Human Rights Award - Nominations available on cta.org each September and are due in January. Award is given in March at Equity and Human Rights Conference. Click here for more information and a nomination form.
  • David A Sanchez GLBT Leadership Award - This Caucus award is given to those indivduals that have helped to achieve significant progress and promote leadership on behalf of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexula and Transgender Community.
